Ephraim City
Ephraim is known as “Little Denmark” and “Utah’s Heart of Scandinavia.” First settled in 1854, Ephraim is the home to Snow College and is the economic hub of Sanpete County. Initial settlers were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who were primarily from Denmark and Sweden. These members had immigrated from their homelands to gather with “the saints in Zion.” In 1888, Snow College was founded in Ephraim and has become an important educational institution for the region.
